Biography

Died in Jamaica in 1817. His will showed him as the husband of Ann Grant and as the owner of Spring Garden. He was the father-in-law of Sir Francis Forbes, who has an extended entry in the Australian Dictionary of Biography as Chief Justice and who was an executor of Dr David Grant's will, and (posthumously) also the father-in-law of Sir James Meek,
