Biography

Son and heir of St Croix slave-property of Charles Pym Burt the elder (q.v.). Occupied Colton House from 1792, dying c. 1817. High Sheriff of Staffordshire 1805.

  1. Will of John Heyliger Burt of Colton House Staffordshire proved 08/01/1818. In the will he left his property at Colton and in St Croix in trust, and entailed them to his sons in succession subject to £5000 for his younger children and to a loan described as Tabach's [sp?] loan charged on his St Croix estates.
