John Gordon Peterkin

???? - 23rd Jun 1832

Biography

Second son of James Peterkin of Grange, Moray, from whom he inherited property in north-east Scotland and Chatham estate in St James, Jamaica. Apparently built the mansion house at Grange in 1805 (though it seems more likely that this was his father). The estate in Jamaica was run by his uncle Alexander until his death in 1817. It's not clear how much interest John Gordon took in his Jamaican property. He died in Moray, 23/06/1832.
