Biography

Owner of Orange Tree Valley in Trelawney.

  1. Granted the patent to Orange Tree Valley in Trelawney by Charles II on 12/07/1678.

  2. Edward Drake married Grace Modyford in St Catherine, Jamaica, 05/08/1679. Grace was the daughter of Sir James Modyford (d. 1672/3), Lieutenant Governor of Jamaica, and Elizabeth nee Slanning. Grace's only brother Thomas died young and she became heiress to her father. Edward Drake died in Jamaica 05/10/1680. Grace remarried, to Peter Heywood, in St Andrew, 02/02/1681/2.
