Biography

Connected to John William Gayner, later owner of Culloden estate in St Ann.

  1. Probably the John Gaynor junior who owned 70 enslaved people and 100 stock in St Ann, Jamaica, in 1792.

  2. A John Gayner was named as executor in the will of Charles Scarlett, planter, of Parish of St Ann, County of Middlesex, Jamaica, made 20/03/1809, proved in London 05/081817. He was described as the testator's brother-in-law: "I hereby constitute nominate and appoint my beloved Wife Guardian and Executrix, with my dear Brothers in Law John Gayner Esquire and John Reid Gallimore Guardian and Executors of this my last Will and Testament ..."
