Claimant or beneficiary

Biography

Resident slave-owner in Jamaica. The compensation for his claims on the enslaved people on Green Park (co-owned with his wife Ann) and Russell Hall was paid to Ann Horlock, presumably after his death c. 1835. Also appearing as Thomas William Horlock. Genealogical sites show him as the son of Samuel Horlock and Elizabeth Horlock, although in the will of Elizabeth Horlock made in 1822 and proved in 1829 she left half her estate to Elizabeth Horlock described by her as the third daughter of Thomas Williams Horlock without any signal that Thomas Williams was her son or Elizabeth her grand-daughter.
