Biography

Edward Fuhr was a partner in Hibberts, Fuhr & Co. (q.v.) of 9 Mincing Lane.

  1. Fuhr died at his house in Soho Square, 25/01/1801 and was buried 02/02/1801 in St Anne's, Soho. He was registered at 3 Lime Street Square in 1784, 9 Mincing Lane from 1785 to 1791 and in Kingston, Surrey, from 1795 to 1800.

  2. Unknown connection to Edward Fuhr, age 16, "a Black Youth", baptised 30/10/1791 in Marylebone.

  3. Edward Fuhr married Mary Oxley 08/03/1778 in St Dunstan in the East where he was a bachelor of St Andrew Undershaft. His will makes no mention of a wife or children, leaving bequests totalling £20,000 to family members and the residue to his nephew and partner John Vincent Purrier (q.v.).
