Biography

  1. Will of Alexander Brown Lt-Governor of Tobago proved 03/10/1766. Under the will he left his real and personal estate to his two brothers, John Brown minister of an illegible place-name in Scotland (possibly Kilmuir) and Thomas Brown wine merchant of London. If his estate exceeded £600 he provided for an annuity of £20 p.a. to his mother Elizabeth of North Britain, with it scaled back pro rata if his estate was below £600. 'I give and bequeath to the aforesaid Thomas Brown my negro boy called Punto to be solely his and to be disposed of as he shall think proper.'

  2. The heirs of Alexander Brown d. 09/07/1766 sold two lots in Great River division to John Graham of Antigua in 1768.
