Anglican clergyman, trustee and executor and also contingent beneficiary under the will of Esther Swete (q.v.). 21 enslaved people in Antigua were registered in the names of the Very Rev. Henry Beeke Dean of Bristol and John Beaumont Swete in 1824. He and Rev. John Swete also held four estates in Jamaica under the will of Esther Swete.
Henry Beeke, son of Christopher of Teignton Devon, matriculated Corpus Christi Oxford 06/06/1769 aged 18. BA 1773, Fellow Oriel College 1775. D.D. 1800, Regius Professor of Modern History 1801-1813, vicar of Weare Devon, 'a celebrated financial critic and writer', died 09/03/1837.
