Owner of enslaved people in Hanover, Jamaica, in 1817, most of whom sold to Neill Malcolm and transferred to Rutherglen estate by 1820. Identified as an absentee in the slave register of 1820 and as "practitioner of physic and surgery" in the slave register for Rutherglen, 1823.
