William Leake

Biography

London solicitor and MP, shown in 1817 as of Sackville Street, Piccadilly, Middlesex. He was the same man as the William Leake who appeared in a deed rearranging a trust over an estate in St David Jamaica 5th-6th March 1827 that has yet to be traced but which might have been Aeolus Valley, known to have been in trust for the heirs of William Paterson in the mid-1820s. John William Bury, one of the other parties to this deed, was named as the sole executor of the will of William Leake of Wimbledon made in 1846; he predeceased Leake and administration of Leakes' will was granted 23/08/1852.
