Biography

Appointed 'HM's Commissioner for Adjusting & Settling The Differences..' arising from the sales of lands in the Ceded Islands, and himself an early purchaser of land in Tobago, as grantee of Courland Bay division (St David parish) Lot No. 28 (100 acres) 05/06/1770, which by 1773 was held by William Lucas and which became Cartara Down. Probably also the same man as the original purchaser of St Andrews Lots no. 45 (280 acres) and no. 118 (230 acres) and St Peters Lot no. 33 (30 acres) and (with William Jackson) St Andrews no. 59 (166 acres) on Dominica.
