Biography

Bristol West India merchant, mortgagee-in-possession of Sod Hall estate in Hanover, Jamaica, registered by the attornies to his heirs in 1826 and 1829. He predeceased his father and former partner Ralph Mountague senior (q.v.).

  1. Will of Ralph Mountague [the younger] of Bristol proved 02/07/1824. Under the will he gave his wife Rebecca James Mountague his household effects and land in and around Bristol, including Russian Lodge. He identified his partner as his son William Rhodes Mountague and mandated his son John Palmer Mountague to return to England and enter the partnership.
