  1. Will of William Campbell [late of the island of Jamaica but now of the City] of Bath proved 14/06/1824. Under the will he left his estate of New Milns ['and all the negro and other slaves, cattle live and dead stock' on it] and the rest of his real and personal estate in trust to his son-in-law John Pendrill (q.v.), to be sold for the benefit of his [Campbell's] six grandchildren, the daughters of John Pendrill and Campbell's deceased daughter Margaret Ross Pendrill.
