John Cardin

Biography

Manager of Romneys estate in St Kitts in 1834. Son of Richard Cardin. His father had managed Romneys from at least 1817.

  1. John Cardin, son of Richard Cardin (1732-1834) and his wife Anne nee Chiles (1783-1868), baptised in Maidstone, Kent, in 1811.

  2. John Cardin remained in St Kitts after his father died and his brother Richard Edward Cardin returned to England. He was a treasury clerk from 1858 and died in St Kitts in 1869.
