Biography

Of the Middle Temple, joint holder of a mortgage on Longville estate in Clarendon, Jamaica, taken out by Charles Long but still in effect at the marriage of his son Samuel in 1723.

  1. The will of George Turbill of [Middle Temple now residing at] Plymouth [in the will given as Plymton] Devon was proved 10/11/1743. The will made no reference to the mortgage of Jamaica property or to Turbill's earlier involvement with the 'Undertaking' to exploit the 'Gold and Silver Royal Mines' of Jamaica c. 1720.
