  1. Will of Nathaniel Mason merchant of Tobago proved 13/03/1802. In the probate he was described as 'formerly of the island of Tobago and late of Demerara.' The will deals mainly with the land in Southampton that was the subject of his father's marriage settlement and is silent on any slave-property.
