Biography

Slave-owner in Jamaica, of a Lancashire family and in Liverpool when he made his will in June 1827.

  1. Will of Edward White [late of Stretton Hall in Vere planter but at present at] Liverpool proved 27/11/1827. He instructed that his property be sold and the proceeds remitted for the benefit of his three sisters in England, Mary White, Ann Bratt widow and Elizabeth White, with an annuity of £150 p.a. to his mother Mrs Mary White widow of Warrington and the shares of any deceased sister to his nephew Edward White Bratt.
