Biography

Anne Stevens, widow, of Kensington, counterclaimed unsuccessfully for Dunbar's estate in Antigua as devisee and residuary legatee of Elizabeth Cosby. The two women were sisters.

  1. Will of Elizabeth Cosby widow [formerly of Edgware Road but now] of Hampton Court [made 10/10/1812] proved 15/03/1826. In the will she left 4 monetary legacies of £500 each to family and friends, and £1000 each to her sister Mary Gunthorpe and her nieces Louisa Ann Byam and Frederica Stevens, Her residuary legatee, including of her [Elizabeth Cosby's] legacy from 'Mr Dunbar', was her sister Anne Stevens.

  2. Burial of Elizabeth Cosby of Hampton Court aged 72 St Mary Hampton 07/03/1826.
