Biography

William Saunders of Worcester counterclaimed for compensation on Blake's estate in Antigua on the basis of a mortgage to Sarah Selina Masterson (q.v.), but then withdrew his claim. Given one of his daughter's forenames as Sarah Selina (the wife of Louis Alfred Comte de Boissiere) and his bequests to Catholic causes, he appears to have been part of the same Anglo-Catholic nexus as Sarah Selina Masterson, although his daughter Sarah Selina married in St Mary's Bryanston Square in 1833.

  1. Will of William Saunders of Sidbury Place adjoining Worcester Worcesteshire proved 13/04/1836.
