Biography

Daughter of Hon. Francis Frye and widow of Thomas Warner (1753-1820 or 1825, the son of Daniel Warner Treasurer of Antigua). Of Gravesend, Kent. Unsuccessful counterclaimant for Belle Vue, Antigua as annuitant for £400 sterling per annum - amount due for arrears and interest £4,000.

  1. Dorothy Warner was resident in Antigua c. 1795 for the birth of her son Daniel Francis and in 1797 when she acted as a witness to the will of John Wickham Mayer. Samuel Warner (q.v.), the President of the Council of Antigua, was her late husband's cousin. Daniel Francis Warner was later Rector of Hoo in Kent and married Sylviana Maria, the daughter of Robert Walter Vaughan of Bristol.

  2. The Dorothy Warner who was buried 06/05/1837 at St Margaret's, next Rochester aged 68 was almost certainly the same woman as the claimant.
