- Possibly the Samuel Francis Brough (1798-1879), watchmaker of 3 Charles Square Hoxton who appears as nephew and executor of the will of James White Sawtell (q.v., a co-claimant) in 1862, but more likely his father Samuel, who with his wife Elizabeth baptised Samuel Francis Brough at St Bartholomew the Great, London 29/07/1798. Samuel Brough widower had married Elizabeth Sawtell 04/02/1796 at St Andrew by the Wardrobe.
