Daly's Grove is not listed until 1826. Between 1821 and 1825 Peter Daly is shown against Friendship in Manchester with a comparable number of enslaved people (c. 120 or so). By 1831 and 1833 it is shown against P. Mahon and Patrick Mahon.

A fragment extracted from Edmund Emmet O'Daly's 'History of the O'Dalys' appears to contradict this, saying that 'Peter Daly of Galway...settled in Jamaica about 1782, where he distinguished himself by outstanding civil, philanthropic and religious activities. He returned to Ireland and purchased Corbally from the Blakes in 1820, renaming it 'Castledaly'. He obtained Dalysgrove from Frank [sic, = Francis] Daly his brother, in 1828. Peter Daly died in 1844.' http://odalyhistory.mysite.com/medium_photo_page.html [accessed 15/01/2012].
