Awarded compensation for enslaved people on Stony Gutt estate in St Thomas-in-the-East, Jamaica, as one of the heirs of J. M. Collard.

Probably Elizabeth Collard, widow of John Marshall Collard and daughter-in-law of John Collard of Bristol (d. 1788). Boyd's Inhabitants of London gives her as the daughter of Samuel Lysons (1730-1804), Rector of Rodmarton, and Mary nee Peach, born 1772, who married John Marshall Collard in 1799. Elizabeth Lysons, daughter of Saml Lysons and Mary, baptised at Rodmarton, 07/09/1772. John Marshall Collard of Cricklade St Mary, Wiltshire, bachelor, married Elizabeth Lysons of this parish in Rodmarton, 03/09/1799. Their son, also named John Marshall Collard, matriculated Exeter College in 1820 age 18; Alumni Oxonienses gives John Marshall Collard senior as of Ashley, Wiltshire, armigerous. John Marshall Collard junior was baptised 22/03/1802 in Cowley, Gloucestershire.

Elizabeth Collard was Head of the household at Chipping, north of Tetbury, Gloucestershire, in 1841, age 65, of independent means, born in county, with her son John Collard, age 35, born out of county, his wife Ellen and their children. Living in the household of her son John M. Collard at 2 Clarence Street, Gloucester, in the census of 1851, age 78, born Rodmarton (her son born Ashley, Wiltshire, 'minister of the Gospel'). Letters of administration for Elizabeth Lysons Collard, the sister of Rev. John Marshall Collard, were granted in 1865: the National Probate Calendar entry for her in that year showed her as having died in 1849 at Tuffley in the county of Gloucester.
