Owner of Rachel's Farm or Belmont estate in St Andrew, Jamaica, from at least 1817 to 1839.

  1. According to the Jamaica Gleaner, Marshod Shannon, merchant of Kingston was the brother of Thomas Shannon, an Irishman involved in the publication of the Jamaica Despatch, Chronicle and Gazette which merged with the Kingston Chronicle around 1839-1840.
