Biography

London attorney, dying at Sandiway in Cheshire in 1836. Tenant-for-life of Bakers estate in Barbados, who ceded the compensation to the 'remaindermen', Elizabeth Sarah, Maria Ann, Mary Harriet and Catharine Constantia Coulthurst (all of whom q.v.), his daughters or nieces.

  1. Will of Conrade Coulthurst of Sandiway Cheshire proved 26/10/1836; he was described as of 'Bedford Row Middlesex last of Sandiway Co. Chester.' Conrade Coulthurst, the son of Henry Coulthurst of Barbados merchant, was apprenticed in 1782 to Oliver Farrer and James Farrer, attorneys of London. He posted a bond for marriage with Charlotte Lawson 07/07/1292, when he was described as of Lincolns Inn.

  2. The son of Conrade Coulthurst, Conrade Henry Coulthurst, was an African adventurer who died there c. 1832 aged 35. Conrade Henry Coulthurst had spent 6 years in Barbados after Eton and Brazenose College.
