Biography

Daniel Sutton, probably Edward Rogers Sutton's father (q.v. under Daniel Sutton the younger), but conceivably his grandfather Daniel Sutton the elder, was awarded part of the compensation for the enslaved on Ann's Grove and Two Friends in British Guiana with Bryan Holme as trustees for two minors, Edward Rogers Sutton and Emily Ann Sutton (q.v.).

  1. Daniel Sutton was shown as the father and Margaret Sutton as the mother of Emily Ann Sutton and Edward Rogers Sutton when the two were baptised as St Mary Abbots Kensington on 26/06/1822 and 05/06/1823 respectively.

  2. Will of Edward Rogers Sutton, late of St Leonards Lodge, Lower Tulse Hill, Brixton who died 13/03/1870 was proved 31/03/1870 by Grace Sutton (the widow and the sole executrix), effects under £450.
