Notes

The enslaved people on this estate appear to have been divided between the three Findlater sisters - Mary Jane, Sarah Ann and Annie (later Roper). It's not clear if they owned the land jointly. All the registrations for the three of them have been included in this estate listing.

The connection between Rosemount [1] and Rosemount [2] is unclear. In the almanacs, the estate is listed to the Findlater family and Sarah Lawrence only appears as a slave-owner for a group of enslaved people without a named estate.
