Sandy Bay Division (St Patrick) Lot no. 7, which became Mt Irvine, was sold to Richd & Jos. Steele 12/05/1766. By 1773 it was in the hands of 'Mathews & Macvey'. This appears to have been the estate originally known as Steele Town conveyed 23/08/1770 by Joshua Steele to Sir Wm. Young and in turn conveyed by Young to Dan. Mathew 10/02/1771 and described as Felix Hall [the name of Mathew's Essex estate].
