In the possession of Thomas Tate as owner. Purchased from Phillip Anglin, Robert Allwood and William Salmon (the majority from Robert Allwood). The change in ownership in the Almanacs indicated that Allwood sold the land as well as the enslaved people. The number of enslaved people registered here indicate they included people listed in the almanacs to Thomas Tate in Rotherwood too, although it's not clear whether the enslaved people were moved to Old Shaftston or kept on Rotherwood separately.
