Return of Samuel H. Lord, his own property. Lord purchased 165 enslaved persons in the Court of Chancery, the property of John C. Roach (q.v.). (There were also 2 deaths and a sale of 1 person to J. Belgrave.)
It is not at all clear what happened to these enslaved after 1826: there appears to be no subsequent recording of them - at least as this group - in 1829 or thereafter.
