Notes

A group of enslaved people owned by Susannah Bradford in 1817. After her death 13 of the enslaved people were inherited by Jane Turnbull (who had leased them to George Forbes by 1823) and 11 were inherited by Charlotte Bromfield (who registered them in 1820 as tenant for life). It's not clear if these bequests included land or, if so, how it was divided.

The enslaved people 'owned' by Susannah Jane Turnbull were registered in Manchester in 1823 and in the slave compensation records but in St Elizabeth before that.
