West India merchant (Colonial - Caribbean)
James [sic] Hibbert was shown as partner with George Hibbert, John Vincent Purrier and Edward Fuhr in 1801 in the Old Bailey Sessions. This appears to have been Thomas Hibbert of Chalfont, George Hibbert's brother.
Partners in 'Messrs Alderman Hibbert and Company' in 1801 identified as James [sic: almost certainly Thomas] Hibbert, George Hibbert, Edward Fuir [isc] and John Vincent Purrier.
Partnership under date of 30/04/1812 between George Hibbert, Robert Hibbert jun., William Hibbert and Samuel Hibbert of merchants of Billiter Court dissolved as far as concerns Robert Hibbert jun.
Partnership bewteen George Hibbert the elder, now deceased, William Hibbert, Samuel Hibbert, William Tetlow Hibbert and George Hibbert, under the style or firm of George, William Samuel Hibbert and Company, carrying on the business of West India Merchants, dissolved 30 April last (1838); all debts paid etc by William Hibbert, Samuel Hibbert, William Tetlow Hibbert and George Hibbert, who have formed a new copartnership under the firm of Hibbert & Co.
