Qualified and practised at the NZ bar 1968-70.  Postgrad study and tutorial teaching fellow at Kings College London 1970-72.  Lecturer and Senior Lecturer, UCL Faculty of Laws, 1972-2010.  Sub-Dean and Faculty Tutor 1979-83, and 2002-2006.  Research and teaching in Public Law, including Human Rights, Freedom of Information, Data Protection, Police Powers.
