Research summary
Andrew Lewis is currently working on an extended history of the law of tithes from the eighth to the nineteenth century. He is part of a team working on a comparative legal history of the ancient world for publication by Cambridge University Press.
Teaching summary
Andrew Lewis teaches Roman Law and English Legal History courses at undergraduate level and courses in Western European Legal History and in the History of Western Canon Law in the LLM.

Biography
Andrew Lewis's main areas of interest are Roman Law, European and English Legal History and Canon law. Until 2011 he was Professor of Comparative Legal History at UCL.
