Biography: 
Joshua is a Lecturer and teaches private international law. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

He has published widely in the conflict of laws and international arbitration, including: (a) the ‘Good Arguable Case’ chapter in ‘Challenging Private Law’, a festschrift for Lord Sumption; (b) a chapter in ‘State of Arbitration: Essays in Honour of Professor George Bermann’ on when an English Award subject to enforcement proceeding(s) in foreign jurisdiction(s) can be 'suspended' in England; and (c) a chapter on Godard v Gray and Schibsby v Westenholz in ‘Landmark Cases in Private International Law’.

He is also a barrister practising at Twenty Essex in London. Josh’s Bar practice focuses on international disputes, including: (i) service out of the jurisdiction; (ii) foreign applicable law; (iii) the recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards; (iv) international arbitrations under a variety of institutional rules; and (v) Court applications relating to arbitration.
