GCDC member Dr John Sorabji’s work on legal expenses insurance was cited in oral evidence to the House of Commons Justice Committee, as part of its inquiry into access to justice. The reference was made by Professor Linda Mulcahy (University of Oxford) during a session held on Tuesday, 10 February 2026.
Dr Sorabji is an Associate Professor of Law at UCL Laws and the co-director of UCL Laws’ Centre for Dispute Resolution. His expertise is in civil procedural law and alternative dispute resolution. He is particularly interested in access to and the delivery of effective civil justice.
