29 November 2024

The scholarships have been launched in anticipation of the 200th anniversary celebrations of UCL, and are available for students wishing to study an undergraduate or postgraduate degree at UCL Laws.

As part of our ongoing commitment to broadening access to studying law and the legal profession, UCL Laws is pleased to launch four new Faculty-funded scholarships as a major initiative of the Faculty’s UCL200 celebrations.

There is one scholarship available for applicants applying to the LLB (2025 entry), two for the LLM (2025 and 2026 entry), and one for the PhD programme (2025 entry).

Professor Prince Saprai (UCL Laws’ Deputy Dean for Strategy and UCL200 Faculty Champion) commented:

“We are incredibly excited to launch these new UCL200 scholarships. They demonstrate the Faculty’s enduring commitment to UCL’s founding values to promote academic excellence, equality of opportunity and diversity of thought. We are looking forward to welcoming this wonderful new cohort of UCL200 scholars to take our values forward in 2026 and beyond.”

In addition to the new UCL200 scholarships, other scholarships are available at UCL Laws and are awarded based on means-testing or academic achievement. The existing Faculty-funded scholarships have been re-named UCL200, in recognition of scholars who will commence their studies in the lead up and during the UCL200 celebrations. Prospective applicants are encouraged to visit the relevant scholarship pages for further information:
