Find out more about the Target Laws Mentoring Scheme, a two-year long programme for Year 12 students from disadvantaged groups in non-selective state schools aspiring to study Law at university.
About the webinar
The Target Laws Webinar is ideal for staff members of non-selective state schools based in and around London who wish to support their students in applying to study at a top Law school – including teachers, guidance/careers counsellors, and heads of sixth forms/colleges.
The webinar will take place on Thursday 19 May at 17:00 BST, online via Zoom.
The webinar will be in the format of a presentation followed by a Q&A session for attendees to ask any questions they may have about Target Laws, and applying to UCL Laws more generally. The webinar will cover:
- The applications process at UCL Laws
- Insights from an Admissions Tutor on what UCL Laws looks for in successful candidates
- The multiple aspects of the Target Laws programme
- Who the programme is for and how it will help participants
- Equipping attendees with knowledge and resources to support their students in making successful applications to the Target Laws programme and then onto UCL Laws undergraduate courses
About Target Laws
The Target Laws programme is designed for students from non-selective state schools within Greater London who meet selected eligibility criteria.
Target Laws is a two-year programme for Year 12 students from underrepresented backgrounds with the potential and aspiration to enter a top law school. Participants will take part in ten mentoring sessions and have the opportunity to attend additional events at UCL Laws.
