On 3rd October, UCL Laws LLB students competed successfully in the prestigious Herbert Smith Freehills Junior Mooting Competition 2019. The competition took place in the historic Moot Court at Bentham House, home of the Faculty.
This year’s moot problem was written by Dr Ian Williams, Associate Professor at UCL Laws, and posed a serious challenge to all participants. The students presented their submissions before Lord Hodge, Justice of the UK Supreme Court, with Evan Brewster eventually declared as the winner.
The four finalists representing UCL Laws were: Evan Brewster (winner), Lionel Schor (first runner-up) and Christopher Ho and Tan Kian Leong (joint second runners-up).
