Lionel Schor, an incoming second year UCL Laws student on the English and German Law dual degree programme, was invited to join the “Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes” - the most prestigious German scholarship programme.

The scholarship entails a monthly allowance for educational costs; access to educational programmes; and covers his undergraduate studies as well as a prospective master course.

Lionel said. “I am delighted to take part in the wide range of opportunities that the “Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes” offers, such as language courses or summer academies on topics of political, cultural and social relevance, and to network with other scholarship holders.”

The English and German Law LLB is four-year dual degree programme, which involves two years of study at UCL and at the University of Cologne, leading to the award of a Bachelor of Laws degree from each institution.

DAAD Lecturer Dr Nina Lueck who has taught Lionel in German Constitutional Law in his first year at UCL Laws commented: “I am delighted about Lionel’s success. It has been a pleasure to teach him and his knowledge of not only law but also political science, economics and history in particular go far beyond what can be expected from even a very good first year law student.”
