Ronan McCrea

Professor Ronan McCrea, Professor of Constitutional and European Law at UCL Laws, has written an article for Euronews entitled ‘Would the EU welcome a UK U-turn on Brexit? Don't bet on it’. Professor McCrea discusses why some in the European Union might not welcome the UK withdrawing from Brexit, and its potential implications.

Professor McCrea was also recently interviewed on RTE One’s Prime Time, discussing Brexit negotiations. You can watch the interview now (starts at approximately 17 minutes).

Earlier this month, Professor McCrea wrote an article for The Irish Times on the Brexit backstop, where he argued that there are large obstacles in the way of either accepting the backstop or cancelling Brexit.

The Irish Independent has also published an opinion piece by Professor McCrea, entitled: 'Remainers are frozen to the spot as all around them Brexit flames grow higher'.
