Dr Anna Donovan appointed to BSI Smart Legal Contracts Steering Group

Dr Anna Donovan, Lecturer in Law and Vice Dean (Innovation) at UCL Laws, has been appointed to the BSI Steering Group that is developing a Publicly Available Specification (PAS) for smart legal contracts.  The scope of the multi-disciplinary Steering Group is to ‘set out requirements to develop functional elements for use within a smart legal contract.’

Commenting on the appointment, Dr Donovan explained that ‘the use of standards is an important component in creating an ecosystem that helps to support the adoption of new technology in a sustainable and robust way.  As such, I am delighted to be working with the BSI and my colleagues on the Steering Group to develop the PAS for smart legal contracts.’
