The Public Law Project’s (PLP) collaborative approach to public law has featured in a case study of the landmark legal challenge to the PIP scheme, a case that changed the assessment criteria for thousands of people on disability benefits.
‘Using the law to address unfair systems’, funded and published by the Baring Foundation and Lankelly Chase, also identifies strategic lessons for third sector organisations that use public law to challenge unfair systems.
The research was carried by Dr Jacqueline Kinghan, Head of Teaching and Learning at UCL Centre for Access to Justice; and Dr Lisa Vanhala, Associate Professor in Human Rights at UCL Political Science.
