  • Dr John Sorabji and Prof Nigel Balmer speak at conference on Civil Justice in Europe

Dr John Sorabji, Senior Teaching Fellow and Prof Nigel Balmer, Professor of Law and Social Statistics at UCL Laws, are speaking at a conference about pathways to civil justice.

Challenge Accepted! Exploring Pathways to Civil Justice in Europe is an ESRC funded project looking at improving access to justice across the EU through, amongst other things, digitising courts and court procedures. It focuses on a number of countries, including the UK.

This conference, organised by the Erasmus School of Law, is taking place on 19th-20th November, will aim to define a sustainable framework for a 21st century EU civil justice system.

Dr John Sorabji was also invited to be on the project’s Advisory Board and will be chairing a panel discussion on ‘The computer as the court’.
