27 March 2017
The UCL President and Provost, Professor Michael Arthur, has shared the latest developments on the home of UCL Laws, Bentham House, in his weekly newsletter (23 March 2017)
Bentham House is undergoing a three year, £22 million re-development to create additional space, improve accessibility and integrate all existing parts of the Faculty, while maintaining and protecting our much-loved home for the future.
Sharing the historical background of Bentham House, the Provost also outlined the milestones due to happen in the coming months, before reoccupation in late 2017.
Transforming UCL
The redevelopment of Bentham House has been delivered by UCL Estates as part of Transforming UCL, the largest capital programme in the university’s history.
Transforming UCL will see substantial investment of over £1.2 billion over a 10-year period to refurbish and develop some of UCL’s most iconic buildings whilst also bringing forward new world class buildings. Together these will enable and support the University’s continued growth.
