15 March 2017
Professor George Letsas, Professor of the Philosophy of Law and Vice Dean (International) at UCL Faculty of Laws, has contributed to the 16 March 2017 edition of the London Review of Books
Writing on ‘Brexit and the Constitution’, Professor Letsas covers issues such as the Supreme Court and human rights, and the impact of Brexit on EU and UK citizens.
Professor George Letsas said:
‘The legal issues surrounding Brexit are not technicalities, reserved for the judiciary and the expert lawyer. They raise profound normative questions about the UK Constitution and the value of democracy. Public debate must not lose sight of the fact that there are legal constraints to how far Brexit may affect individual rights flowing from EU membership.’
