More than twenty UCL Laws LLM students took part in ‘A Power Walk’, an alternative London tour organised by the Events Team at UCL Faculty of Laws and Dotmaker Tours, on Thursday 16 November 2016.

The walk drew on English constitutional history, law, politics, economics and architecture to investigate the dynamics of power in central London.

Lei Yutian said:

‘The Power Walk was an amazing trip that allowed us to gain a deeper understanding of the city we are living in. The insightful stories enlivened the time-honored architectures standing the vicissitudes of power shifts, making me reflect upon the history and look into future with my own independent thoughts. I cannot recommend it enough to students who are keen to know the city more.’

Yongze Cui said:

‘The most interesting part of the tour is to see the differences between the city of London and the city of Westminster. Also, it was really good to visit the Royal Court of Justice to see a real court that I’ve only seen in Silk.’

Sarah Campling, Director of Graduate Taught Programmes, said:

‘I’m very pleased that our students have enjoyed the walk. This is one of the lovely activities we offered to our LLM students to help them enjoy their time in London ’
