Professor Piet Eeckhout gives evidence on Brexit to House of Commons
6 December 2017
Professor Piet Eeckhout, Dean of UCL Faculty of Laws, gave evidence on Brexit and transition to the House of Commons Home Affairs Committee on 5 December 2017.
The subject of the meeting was ‘Home Office delivery of Brexit: policing and security cooperation.’
Professor Eeckhout said:
‘I was delighted to have had the opportunity to give evidence to the House of Commons Home Affairs Select Committee.
It was a stimulating meeting, with lots of good questions about the Brexit transition and the scope for a close relationship with the EU under a new security treaty. There was consensus that a lot of work still needs to be done, and that time is really running out.’
