UCL Laws LLM students take part in ‘A Rubbish Walk’
24 November 2016
Thirty UCL Laws LLM students have been taking part in a series of alternative London tours organised by the Events Team at UCL Faculty of Laws and Dotmaker Tours
The most recent was ‘A Rubbish Walk’ which took place on Sunday 20 November 2016.
The two hour walk explored the east London area, starting at Mudchute DLR station and finishing in Greenwich. Students passed through historic dumps and landfills, heard the stories of castaway communities and discovered more about the city’s waste past, present and future, and the many methods of transforming it.
Kristina Geisel, who’s studying the LLM in Environmental Law and Policy, said:
‘It was fun, very informative and gave me a refreshingly new and unusual perspective on London. A great combination of learning and sightseeing that will make me wander the streets of London with different eyes during my one-year stay in this town.’
